Roberto Aguire is one of the actores that has joined the sixth season of Freeform’s hit series Pretty Little Liars this season. We have been able to speak with him about the show and his experience on it on a new exclusive interview for Lovingseries.
– Hello Roberto, thanks for your time. What can you tell us about tour experience on Pretty Little Liars? How does it feel being part of such a hit show like this?
The experience has been fantastic! Since the get go, all the cast and crew have been extremely welcoming, and i have had nothing but great times filming with them. I think the best part about being on the show has been the fans! They are incredibly devoted to the story and to the characters, and i would say that they are the true definition of what die-hard fans should be like!
– Did you watch / follow the series before joining the cast?
I had heard about the show, but i had never watched it. However since I have been on the show it has been amazing to find out how many of my family and friends are actually closeted PLL fans! People i would have never thought watched the show have been the ones that ended up summarizing six seasons worth of A theories for me. It has been mind-blowing to see the huge following that the show has.
– You are playing a character named Liam Greene, who’s Aria’s new boyfriend. For people that don’t know him, how would you describe Liam?
Liam is this kind-hearted assistant editor at a book publishing firm in Boston. He met Aria after she came to work at the publishing firm and eventually they started dating. He is a really sweet guy who’s really in love with Aria and is always looking out for her in every way that he can. I think it is nice to see Liam really be there as her boyfriend. He is constantly fighting to make sure that they are ok as a couple, which as we have seen has not been easy since she is been away from Boston.
– When you speak about that it has not benn easy, obviously we are talking about Ezra and those ghosts from the past…
Ezra was and is such a huge part of Aria’s life, that there is no way that those ghosts would not come back. I think Liam starts to understand how important Ezra is to Aria, but at the end of the day he has to trust Aria when she tells him that she wants to be with him and not Ezra. One of the fundamental parts of a relationship is honesty, and Liam fully trusts that Aria is committed to him.
– Season 6B has been the show’s big reboot, it sort of started again. How has the cast felt about this new stage?
They were all very excited! They have been stuck playing characters that do not age, as they continued to get older. So i think there is a sense of the series catching up with where they are at now as people, and getting to explore a more mature side of these characters that everyone has grown to love.
– Can you spill anything about the season finale?
Literally nothing! All i can say is that the ending will leave you with your jaw on the floor!
– Fun fact. Which is your favorite liar?
Aria of course!
– Before we finish, let us know. Are you working on any other projects right now?
I have a movie coming out called THE FORCE with Olivia Thirlby and Ben Feldman about the real issues and insecurities that a couple have to deal with once they get pull the trigger and get married.
– Thanks Roberto. Best wishes from Spain.
